Update on Multi-State Cooperative Societies and Agricultural Credit in West Bengal

As of July 2026, there are 1,840 Multi-State Cooperative Societies in India, with 73 located in West Bengal. The government has enhanced its computerization project for Primary Agricultural Credit Societies, increasing coverage and funding significantly. A new National Cooperation Policy has also been implemented to support cooperative sector development.
