Inauguration of SODAR System Facility at IMD
On September 26, 2025, the SODAR (Sound Detection and Ranging) system facility, developed by CSIR-AMPRI, was inaugurated at the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Delhi. The event marked the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CSIR-AMPRI and IMD to enhance collaborative research on weather, climate variability, and forecasting.
