TALASH Initiative to Enhance Education for Tribal Students

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, in collaboration with UNICEF India, has launched the TALASH initiative aimed at fostering holistic development among students in Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs). This program, which targets over 138,000 tribal students across India, focuses on self-awareness, life skills, and career planning through a digital platform. It includes psychometric assessments, career counseling, and life skills modules, with a phased rollout expected to be completed by the end of 2025. The initiative aims to empower tribal youth and bridge educational gaps, aligning with the National Education Policy 2020.
