Target for Export of Agricultural Commodities

The Indian Government aims to boost exports of agricultural and allied commodities, targeting a share in global trade. In 2024-25, exports reached US$ 51.9 billion. The Agriculture and Processed Food Products Exports Development Authority (APEDA) is implementing initiatives for infrastructure development, innovative machinery adoption, and workforce training to enhance value-added product exports. Financial assistance is provided to exporters through the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), which includes components for export infrastructure, quality, and market development.
