TDB-DST Backs Indigenous EV Charger Commercialization for Clean Mobility

The Technology Development Board (TDB), under India's Department of Science and Technology, has authorized financial support to Electrowaves Electronics Pvt. Ltd. for commercializing domestically developed EV chargers in line with India's Atmanirbhar Bharat vision. This initiative aims to bolster self-reliance by expanding India's electric mobility infrastructure and reducing dependence on imported solutions. Electrowaves Electronics, located in Himachal Pradesh, has created a range of AC and DC fast chargers, enhancing the accessibility of Indian-made EV chargers. This project aligns with India’s net-zero emissions goals and strengthens the local supply chain, supporting global competitiveness in the electric vehicle sector.
