TDB Supports Indigenous Development of Multi-Spectral Camouflage Systems
The Technology Development Board (TDB) of India has provided financial assistance to Meta Tattva Systems Pvt. Ltd. for establishing a facility to produce Multi-Spectral Camouflage (MSC) materials for defense applications. The project aims to commercialize the Metamaterial Surface Cloaking System (MSCS), which masks defense assets from detection across various spectrums. The technology, developed by IIT Kanpur, enhances India's self-reliance in counter-surveillance technologies and has been validated by the Indian Air Force. The initiative exemplifies cross-sectoral collaboration in defense innovation.
