TEC and IIT Hyderabad Sign MoU for Telecom Collaboration

The Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Hyderabad to collaborate on advanced telecom technologies and global standardisation activities. The partnership aims to develop India-specific standards, explore future technologies like 6G and AI, and enhance India's role in international telecom standardisation. Key areas of collaboration include mobile communication technologies, Open RAN, 6G, Non-Terrestrial Networks, and health impact studies related to Specific Absorption Rate (SAR). This initiative supports India's Atmanirbhar Bharat vision by promoting indigenous research and reducing reliance on imports.
