Telecom Services Expansion in Hilly Areas

The Ministry of Communications has announced significant advancements in telecom services in hilly areas, with BSNL deploying 4G sites across India as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. As of June 2025, 95,537 4G sites have been installed, with 90,035 operational. BSNL has reported profits due to revival packages, and various projects under Digital Bharat Nidhi aim to enhance mobile connectivity in underserved regions, including border areas and aspirational districts.
