As of April 30, 2025, India has 1,203.84 million total telephone subscribers, with 1,166.43 million being wireless and 37.41 million wireline. The overall tele-density is 85.19%. Broadband subscribers decreased slightly to 943.09 million. The month saw a net addition of 3.05 million subscribers, with 13.48 million requests for mobile number portability. Urban tele-density stands at 131.46%, while rural tele-density is at 59.26%.
