Telecom Subscription Data Highlights as of September 2025

As of September 30, 2025, India has seen significant growth in telecom subscriptions, with a total of 1,228.94 million telephone subscribers, including 1,182.32 million wireless and 46.61 million wireline subscribers. The broadband subscriber base reached 995.63 million, marking a monthly growth rate of 0.61%. The overall tele-density increased to 86.65%, with urban tele-density at 134.76% and rural tele-density at 59.52%. Additionally, 15.13 million requests for Mobile Number Portability were recorded in September 2025.
