Telecom Subscription Data Highlights as of September 2025

As of September 30, 2025, India has reported a total of 1228.94 million telephone subscribers, with 1182.32 million being wireless and 46.61 million wireline. The broadband subscriber base reached 995.63 million, showing a monthly growth rate of 0.61%. The overall tele-density increased to 86.65%, with urban tele-density at 134.76% and rural at 59.52%. Additionally, 15.13 million requests for Mobile Number Portability were submitted in September 2025.
