The Ministry of Tourism has successfully completed six projects in Jammu & Kashmir under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme's Himalayan Circuit, catalyzing a significant increase in tourist footfall and bolstering local employment. These projects, with an investment of ₹519.58 crore, are now fully operational. The initiatives have been part of a broader strategy to transform Jammu & Kashmir into a sustainable tourism destination under the revamped Swadesh Darshan 2.0. Promotional activities and events, such as those in the Rajouri-Poonch region, have further enhanced visibility and attraction for tourists.
