Tourist Inflow in Jammu & Kashmir: Growth and Development

The Ministry of Tourism reported significant growth in tourist inflow to Jammu & Kashmir over the past five years, with domestic tourist visits increasing from 2.5 million in 2020 to over 23.5 million in 2024. Foreign tourist visits also saw a notable rise, particularly in 2022. The Swadesh Darshan Scheme has funded six projects in the region, totaling ₹519.58 crore, aimed at enhancing tourism infrastructure.
