TRAI Assesses Mobile Network Quality in Andhra Pradesh

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) in September 2025 to evaluate mobile network performance along the Hyderabad – Visakhapatnam Rail and Visakhapatnam – Vijayawada Highway. The tests assessed voice and data services across various technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G) and included parameters such as Call Setup Success Rate, Drop Call Rate, and data speeds. Results showed significant performance differences among service providers, with Airtel leading in both voice and data services.
