TRAI Assesses Mobile Network Quality in Assam

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) in June 2025 to evaluate mobile network performance in Dhubri and Kokrajhar, Assam. The tests covered 159 km and assessed various technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G) across urban and rural areas. Key findings include a 100% call setup success rate for Airtel and RJIL, with BSNL at 79.07% and VIL at 97.18%. 5G services achieved peak download speeds of 219.77 Mbps. The report highlights performance metrics such as call setup time, drop call rate, and mean opinion score (MOS).
