TRAI Assesses Mobile Network Quality in Himachal Pradesh
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) in May 2025 to evaluate mobile network performance across various routes in Himachal Pradesh, including Una and Mandi. The tests assessed voice and data services, revealing mixed results in call setup success rates and data speeds. Notably, 5G services showed promising performance in urban hotspots, with peak download speeds reaching 572.97 Mbps. The findings aim to enhance service quality as India transitions to a digitally connected economy.
