TRAI Assesses Mobile Network Quality in Jharkhand and Bihar

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) in August 2025 to evaluate mobile network performance in Jamshedpur, East Singhbhum district (Jharkhand) and Gaya district (Bihar). The tests covered 577.1 km of city routes and assessed voice and data services across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies. Key findings include high call setup success rates for Airtel (99.36%) and RJIL (99.89%), with 5G data services achieving average download speeds of 185.21 Mbps. The report highlights the performance of various telecom service providers in terms of call quality and data services.
