TRAI Assesses Mobile Network Quality in Madurai

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) in Madurai City, Tamil Nadu, from July 17 to July 20, 2025, to evaluate mobile network performance across various technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G). The tests covered 454.6 km of city routes and assessed key parameters such as Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR) and Drop Call Rate (DCR). Results showed Airtel and RJIL achieving a 100% CSSR, while BSNL had a lower rate of 87.65%. The report is available on the TRAI website.
