TRAI Assesses Mobile Network Quality in Mumbai
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has published findings from its Independent Drive Test (IDT) conducted in June 2025, evaluating mobile network performance across Mumbai. The tests covered 243.1 km in the city and 267 km on highways, assessing 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies. Key performance indicators included Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR), Drop Call Rate (DCR), and data speeds, revealing significant variations among service providers. Airtel and RJIL showed strong performance in voice and data services, while MTNL lagged behind.
