TRAI Assesses Mobile Network Quality in Odisha

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) to evaluate mobile network performance along the Bhubaneswar to Rourkela Highway and in Rourkela City. The tests, carried out from August 19 to 22, 2025, assessed various parameters including voice and data services across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies. Key findings revealed high call setup success rates and low drop call rates for major telecom operators, with Airtel leading in both categories. Data performance varied significantly among providers, with RJIL showing the highest download speeds.
