TRAI Assesses Mobile Network Quality in Salem City

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) in August 2025 to evaluate mobile network performance in Salem City, Tamil Nadu. The tests covered various technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G) and assessed key parameters such as Call Setup Success Rate, Drop Call Rate, and data speeds. Results showed Airtel leading in voice services with a 100% Call Setup Success Rate, while RJIL excelled in data services with an average download speed of 322.76 Mbps. The assessment included multiple locations to reflect real-world user experiences.
