TRAI Assesses Mobile Network Quality in Visakhapatnam

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) in June 2025 to evaluate mobile network performance in Visakhapatnam City and its coastal corridor. The tests covered 342.9 Kms of city routes and assessed various technologies including 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G. Key performance indicators such as Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR) and Drop Call Rate (DCR) were measured, with Airtel achieving the highest CSSR at 99.15% and a 0.00% drop call rate. The findings have been shared with relevant telecom service providers.
