TRAI Assesses Mobile Network Quality in West Bengal

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) in July 2025 to evaluate mobile network performance in Asansol, Durgapur, Bardhaman, Tamluk, Haldia, Contai, and Digha. The tests covered 691 km of city routes and assessed voice and data services across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies. Key findings include high call setup success rates and low drop call rates for major telecom providers, with RJIL achieving the highest average download speed of 245.34 Mbps.
