The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) in Amritsar from June 17-20, 2025, evaluating mobile network performance across various technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G) and environments. Key findings include high call setup success rates for Airtel (99.31%), RJIL (99.83%), and low drop call rates for Airtel (0.00%) and RJIL (0.17%). Data performance showed significant differences in download speeds, with Airtel averaging 237.99 Mbps and RJIL 267.63 Mbps. The assessment covered urban zones, hotspots, and public transport hubs, providing insights into real-world network conditions.
