TRAI Assesses Network Quality in Assam Districts
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released findings from Independent Drive Tests (IDT) conducted in Barpeta and Bongaigaon districts of Assam in October 2025. The tests assessed network quality across 230.8 km of urban and rural environments, evaluating 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies. Key metrics included call setup success rate, drop call rate, and data throughput speeds.
