TRAI Assesses Network Quality in Kochi City
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) in Kochi City, Kerala, assessing mobile network performance across various environments. The tests, carried out from June 30 to July 3, 2025, covered 231.4 km of city and coastal routes, evaluating 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies. Key performance indicators included Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR), Drop Call Rate (DCR), and data speeds. Results showed high CSSR for major providers, with Airtel and RJIL achieving 100% in auto-selection mode. Data download speeds varied significantly, with RJIL leading at 328.26 Mbps.
