TRAI Assesses Network Quality in Punjab

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) in August 2025 to evaluate mobile network performance in Jalandhar and Hoshiarpur. The tests covered 198 km of city routes, 84.6 km of highways, and various hotspot locations, assessing technologies from 2G to 5G. Key performance indicators included Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR) and Drop Call Rate (DCR), with Airtel showing the highest CSSR at 99.81%. The findings have been shared with relevant telecom service providers.
