TRAI Conducts Mobile Network Quality Assessment in Surat

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) published the results of an Independent Drive Test (IDT) evaluating the performance of mobile network services in Surat City and adjacent areas in November 2025. The drive, conducted by TRAI's Jaipur Regional Office over a distance of 412 kilometers and 14 significant hotspots, utilized multiple test handsets to assess key performance indicators (KPIs) like call setup success rates, data speeds, and call quality. The test results, available on TRAI's website, aim to inform consumers and urge telecommunications service providers (TSPs) to enhance their services.
