TRAI Conducts Mobile Network Quality Assessment on Hindupur-Hyderabad Routes
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) to assess mobile network quality along the Hindupur to Hyderabad highway and Hyderabad to Hindupur railway routes. The April 2026 tests measured key Quality of Service (QoS) parameters, such as coverage gaps, call drop rates, and data throughput, across multiple telecom service providers. Findings, aimed at informing consumers and encouraging providers to enhance services, indicated varying performance levels in signal strength and data speeds among carriers like Airtel, BSNL, RJIL, and VIL.
