TRAI Evaluates Mobile Network Quality in Namchi and Gyalshing Districts

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted extensive drive tests in December 2025 to evaluate mobile network performance in Namchi and Gyalshing districts of Sikkim under the West Bengal Licensed Service Area. The tests assessed both voice and data services across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks. Airtel, BSNL, RJIL, and VIL's performances were analyzed, revealing varying success and drop call rates, download and upload speeds, and several QoS parameters across different environments in the districts.
