TRAI Evaluates Mobile Network Quality in Punjab Region

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) published results from an Independent Drive Test (IDT) conducted in Punjab's Bathinda and Sri Muktsar Sahib cities and the Amritsar to Bathinda rail route. The assessment, conducted in March 2026, examined the real-time quality of mobile services from providers such as Airtel, BSNL, RJIL, and VIL. The drive tests evaluated various Quality of Service (QoS) parameters including Coverage, Call Drop Rate, and Data Throughput across 2G to 5G networks.
