TRAI Mandates Monthly and Quarterly Reports from DPOs
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued an order requiring Distribution Platform Operators (DPOs) such as DTH, MSOs, HITS, and IPTV operators to submit Performance Monitoring Reports (PMRs) on a monthly and quarterly basis. This update aims to enhance compliance monitoring, transparency, and consumer protection in the broadcasting sector. DPOs must submit Monthly Performance Monitoring Reports (M-PMR) within ten days of each month and Quarterly Performance Monitoring Reports (Q-PMR) within fifteen days of each quarter, with exemptions for smaller operators.
