TRAI Proposes Amendments to Enhance Telecom Consumer Protection

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has introduced the Draft Telecom Consumer Protection (Thirteenth Amendment) Regulation, 2026. This draft focuses on offering Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs) exclusively for Voice and SMS services corresponding to every validity period available for Voice, SMS, and Data. TRAI aims to align these STVs with market demand and ensure fair pricing for consumers. Stakeholders are invited to submit comments by April 28, 2026.
