TRAI Releases Network Quality Assessment for Katra and Udhampur

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted extensive network quality assessments in December 2025 across Katra, Udhampur, and various transit routes in Jammu & Kashmir Licensed Service Area. The evaluation covered voice and data services, utilizing technologies from 2G to 5G. The tests, designed to capture real-world performance in diverse settings, revealed significant differences in service quality across operators such as Airtel, BSNL, RJIL, and VIL. Results have been shared with the concerned telecom service providers.
