The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted extensive network quality assessments in December 2025 across Katra, Udhampur, and various transit routes in Jammu & Kashmir Licensed Service Area. The evaluation covered voice and data services, utilizing technologies from 2G to 5G. The tests, designed to capture real-world performance in diverse settings, revealed significant differences in service quality across operators such as Airtel, BSNL, RJIL, and VIL.
