TRAI Sets Regulations for Foreign Telecom Providers' SIM/eSIMs for Export IoT Devices

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released new regulatory recommendations for the sale of foreign telecom service providers’ SIM and eSIM cards. These regulations focus on their usage in Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) devices intended for export. The International M2M SIM Service Authorisation will streamline the process, promoting the 'Make in India' initiative and enhancing competitiveness in the global IoT/M2M market.
