TRAI Takes Action Against Fraudulent Numbers

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has disconnected over 21 lakh fraudulent mobile numbers and one lakh entities in the past year. TRAI urges citizens to report spam calls and messages through the TRAI DND App, emphasizing that blocking numbers on personal devices does not stop spam at the source. The advisory includes guidelines for users to enhance their safety against telecom fraud.
