Training Initiatives Under NHDP by Ministry of Textiles

The Ministry of Textiles, through the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), implements the National Handicrafts Development Programme (NHDP) and the Comprehensive Handicrafts Cluster Development Scheme (CHCDS) to promote the handicrafts sector. These schemes provide financial assistance and support for skill development, marketing, and infrastructure to artisans. Various training programs, including the Guru Shishya Hastshilp Prashikshan Programme, are offered, with financial aid of Rs. 8,000 per month for eligible artisans.
