Transfer of Historical Records to National Archives of India

The Legislative Department of the Ministry of Law and Justice is transferring and appraising official records older than 25 years to the National Archives of India (NAI) as part of Special Campaign 5.0. This initiative, in compliance with the Public Records Act, aims to preserve valuable legislative documents for future reference and research. A team from NAI has identified 289 files for transfer, with over 3000 more to follow. The event is supported by various officials and covered by national media.
