Tribal Enterprise Growth Under Van Dhan Yojana

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs is advancing the Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Vikas Mission (PMJVM) and Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) initiatives to foster tribal enterprise. Union Minister Shri Durgadas Uikey revealed in the Rajya Sabha the approval of 4105 Van Dhan Vikas Kendras (VDVKs) with 1.23 million members, generating Rs. 13,793.97 lakh in sales. Under PM-JANMAN, 539 VDVKs with 45,924 members accumulated Rs. 386.04 lakh. Challenges like overburdened agencies, infrastructure, and marketing constraints are addressed through supportive measures including agency assistance, skill-building, product enhancement, and e-market integration.
