UIDAI Announces Winners of Biometrics SDK Challenge 2025

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has successfully concluded the Biometrics SDK Benchmarking Challenge 2025, which focused on the Fingerprint modality. The competition aimed to identify high-performing fingerprint matching solutions from international technology providers. A unique aspect of this challenge was the use of long-term fingerprint datasets from children, highlighting UIDAI's commitment to innovative biometric research. With 2,106 applications received, the final winners were Neurotechnology from Lithuania in first place and Innovatrics from Slovakia in second place. UIDAI continues to advance biometric research and plans to launch similar competitions focused on Face and Iris modalities.
