UIDAI Data Hackathon 2026 Drives Data-Driven Innovations in Governance

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) concluded the UIDAI Data Hackathon 2026, highlighting student-led digital identity innovations in governance. Over 5,000 solutions from nearly 15,000 registered teams marked it as a significant event in the Digital Public Infrastructure ecosystem. A notable achievement was the winning team from Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, and Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata, which analyzed Aadhaar datasets to suggest improvements in service delivery. UIDAI aims to make this hackathon an annual event, expanding participation to other sectors and contributors.
