UIDAI Waives Charges for Aadhaar Biometric Updates for Children
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced a waiver of charges for Mandatory Biometric Updates (MBU) for children aged 7-15, benefiting approximately 6 crore children. This initiative, effective from October 1, 2025, will last for one year and aims to facilitate easier access to education, scholarships, and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes.
