Union Budget Initiates Eklavya Model Residential Schools Setup in Bhagalpur, Bihar
Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Shri Durgadas Uikey, informed Lok Sabha about EMRS establishment challenges in Bhagalpur, Bihar, due to population criteria not being met. The initiative, announced in the 2018-19 Union Budget, focuses on providing quality education to tribal students in blocks with more than 50% Scheduled Tribes population and at least 20,000 tribal individuals.
