Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav Leads 89th National Wildlife Board Meeting in Bhopal

Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Bhupender Yadav, chaired the 89th meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Board for Wildlife in Bhopal. The meeting focused on proposals concerning wildlife conservation in Protected Areas, Wildlife Sanctuaries, Tiger Reserves, and Eco-Sensitive Zones, guided by the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972. Discussions also addressed ecological issues and policy frameworks concerning river flows, village impacts on Tiger Reserves, grassland importance, and human-wildlife interactions, ensuring research-backed and coordinated conservation efforts.
