Union Environment Minister Chairs 89th National Board for Wildlife Meeting

Union Environment Minister Shri Bhupender Yadav chaired the 89th meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Board for Wildlife (SC-NBWL) in Bhopal. The meeting focused on reviewing 58 proposals related to wildlife conservation, considering ecological sensitivity and compliance with the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972. Discussions also covered ecological strategies, such as maintaining environmental flows and managing human–leopard interactions. The involvement of scientific institutions was emphasized to support effective conservation policies.
