Union Government Allocates ₹444 Crores for Rural Development in Odisha

The Union Government has released over ₹444 crores under the Fifteenth Finance Commission Grants for Rural Local Bodies in Odisha for the financial year 2025-26. This includes ₹342.5964 crores as the second installment of Untied Grants for various Panchayati Raj Institutions and ₹101.7815 crores from the withheld portion of the first installment. These grants are aimed at supporting local bodies in meeting specific needs and enhancing essential services such as sanitation and drinking water supply.
