Union Health Minister Reviews TB and Measles-Rubella Elimination Progress

Union Health Minister Shri J P Nadda held high-level meetings with Health Ministers from six states and UTs to assess progress on tuberculosis (TB) and measles-rubella elimination. He praised the successful implementation of the 100-day Intensified TB Elimination Drive, which screened over 12.97 crore individuals and reported 7.19 lakh TB cases. Nadda urged states to enhance public participation, improve screening of vulnerable populations, and fast-track health infrastructure projects under PM-ABHIM and the 15th Finance Commission. He emphasized the need for stronger immunization efforts to achieve measles-rubella elimination targets.
