Union Minister Announces Expansion of Semiconductor Design Ecosystem in India

Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, announced the expansion of India's semiconductor design capabilities under the Design Linked Incentive (DLI) Scheme. During an interaction with semiconductor companies in New Delhi, he highlighted the scheme's success in supporting startups and set a target of establishing at least 50 fabless semiconductor companies. The Minister also announced the launch of Deep Tech Awards in 2026 to promote innovation across deep tech sectors.
