Union Minister Celebrates International Day of Sign Languages
On the International Day of Sign Languages 2025, Union Minister for Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, addressed the nation via PM eVidya ISL Channel 31, highlighting the importance of Indian Sign Language (ISL) as a symbol of inclusion and empowerment. He emphasized the need for education in a child's mother tongue, particularly for deaf and hard of hearing children, and showcased the progress made in ISL education, including the expansion of the ISL dictionary and the launch of the PRASHAST App for early diagnosis in schools. The Minister reiterated the commitment to inclusivity in education and society, aiming for a future-ready Bharat by 2047.
